2021 SAG Awards Nominations (Updating Live)

The 2021 Screen Actors Guild Awards are being announced Thursday morning by Lily Collins (“Mank,” “Emily in Paris”) and Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton,” “Snowpiercer”) at 8 a.m. PT on the SAG Awards’ Instagram page.

As a result of the pandemic, the SAG Awards, typically held in January, shifted back two months to April 4. The ceremony will air on TNT and TBS at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET.

Top contenders for the awards are likely to be dominated by Netflix-helmed projects, including “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” starring Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman, Aaron Sorkin’s “The Trial of the Chicago 7,” Spike Lee’s “Da 5 Bloods” and David Fincher’s “Mank.” Meanwhile, “The Crown” and “Ozark” are frontrunners for the television drama categories.

After the Golden Globe nominations were announced on Wednesday, this awards season is taking shape, and the SAG Awards are usually a strong indicator of how the Oscars will unfold.
